Scientology Basics: Problems of Work The Problems of Work: Scientology Applied to the Workaday World

Life is composed of seven-tenths work, one-tenth familial, one-tenth political and one-tenth relaxation. Here, then, is Scientology applied to that crucial seven-tenths of existence.

The Problems of Work contains the senior principles and laws which apply to every endeavor, every problem of work. For they are the discoveries which lay bare the core of these problems and explain the very fabric of life itself.

The Church of Scientology Buffalo, first established in 1967, is expanding in order to meet an increasing demand for Dianetics and Scientology services and to better meet the needs of the Buffalo community.

The Church is located at 836 Main Street — the former Buffalo Public Library building on the southwest corner of Virginia and Main — following many months of parishioner-supported renovations and restoration to the 110-year-old Buffalo landmark.

All members of the community are welcome to tour the restored facility and see what has been done to return this historical city treasure to its original splendor and beyond.

The Church’s convenient location and extensive facilities in the 6-story, airy building are ideally suited for meetings, conferences, weddings and banquets, and are available to the public.

The Scientology religion was founded by American philosopher and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard and welcomes people of all religious faiths and beliefs. Nonpolitical and non-dogmatic in nature, the aims of Scientology are:

“A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights...”

Mr. Hubbard believed that a person is as valuable as he can serve others, and so, in addition to servicing its parishioners of a variety of faiths and professions, the Church also actively sponsors programs to better the community. These include programs to address drug abuse, crime, illiteracy and the decline of moral values in our society.

In addition to community involvement and activities, the Church offers a variety of personal services designed to help people help themselves. By reading basic books you can find out about Scientology philosophy for yourself. We have introductory services, free films, lectures and seminars open to anyone, and also offer personality and IQ testing and evaluation. There are courses and individualized, personal counseling (“auditing”) to help you lead a happier life by addressing situations in your relationships, your work, or other areas you may want to improve.

Today, Scientology encompasses more than 3,200 churches, missions and groups in 154 countries, and is growing every day. In fact, it is the world’s fastest-growing religious movement.

Your Church of Scientology Buffalo is an island of friendliness in what can sometimes be a turbulent and threatening world. The Church maintains an open-door policy and anyone who wishes to improve conditions in his life and the lives of others is welcome to visit us.
